Join Patrick McDonald for a photo outing to the Shiloh Conservation Area (1132 Shiloh Rd, Billings, MT 59102, across from Scheel's) at 8 AM on Saturday, May 22. (Pat says even earlier is better, so if you are an early riser, come at 6 or 7!)
Practice tips on bird photography discussed in his presentation during the May BCC meeting. Enjoy seeing other BCC members in real life !
(To be safe, remember that as of this writing, Yellowstone County is still seeing 18 new cases per day of Covid-19, so it is still prudent to maintain a safe outdoor distance and possibly wear a mask as well when mixing with people who may not be fully vaccinated.)
A presentation by our own Pat McDonald at the next Billings Camera Club monthly meeting.
With an eye on the upcoming contest 'White on White,' Bob Ruble will show his PowerPoint presentation on High-Key Photography.
While all high-key photographs would not necessarily fit the topic 'White on White,' many would. Some discussion of lighting and exposure might be helpful in planning your contest image.
This presentation was shown in a BCC meeting several years ago, but new members and old members with poor memories may appreciate the sample photos and discussions of technique.
Doug Johnson, one of the most effective, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic instructors around, will join us for a live Zoom presentation on 'Keeping Your Photography Fresh.'
Does it feel like you’ve reached a plateau and your photography is beginning to feel stuck, or even a little boring? Join Doug in this insightful lecture that will jump-start your photography and put the fun back into it!
For more than twenty years Doug has educated hundreds of students, from all over the world in the techniques and aesthetics of photography through Rocky Mountain School of Photography programs and on his own. He believes education and truth are the “means to the end” and that good old-fashioned love and fun are the vehicle we use to navigate through our journey.
Members will receive a Zoom invitation before the event.
