Introducing the Falmouth Camera Club
We meet on Thursday evenings from September to April 7:00 for 7:30 pm at the
Budock Village Hall, Budock Water, Falmouth. There is an annual membership
subscription currently set at £30 per member as well as a small weekly charge of £3
for entry to our sessions from September to April.
We are a friendly and informal group who meet to socialise, enjoy photography, share
ideas and help each other with techniques and tips.
We have members who use digital SLR cameras (with or without a mirror), film cameras
and mobile phones; and some develop their own photos. Many also prepare and mount
their own prints. Internal club competitions are held to promote friendly rivalry and to
challenge ourselves to improve our standards in taking striking images.
We also run workshops on techniques and the use of photographic software programs.
We hold presentations by internal and external speakers, using digital and print
presentations, time lapse photography and audio visual presentations. As well as
treasure hunts and photo challenges for fun.
There are also field trips for landscape and wildlife photography held throughout the year
to locations such as Dartmoor, Cornish nature reserves and unusual sites like the
Penrose Water Gardens In the Spring and Summertime, we also organise local evening
walks to places such as Swanpool, local creeks, reservoirs, and town walks.
New members and visitors are always welcome.
Our program of events for the season runs from September to April and our calendar
will include the following key sessions:
• Speakers.
